11th Annual Cauliflower Festival in Margaretville
Celebrating farming, cooking and culture in the past, present and future of the Catskill Mountains.
A Tractor Parade, showing off vintage and modern day tractors, will roll around festival grounds at 11:30 led by Grand Marshall Lynn Johnson driving his antique 1037 Model ** Case.
This Free Festival, Sponsored by the Central Catskills Chamber of Commerce, celebrates farm, home and community with agricultural history exhibits, arts and crafts, music and, of course, food, glorious food.
Kids will have lots of fun when they ride the ever popular Papa’s Little Hillbilly Barrel Train and get their faces painted by the Margaretville Central School arts club.
Bushels of cauliflower and other locally produced items will be for sale.
Pure Catskills will feature area farmer’s and have displays telling of the 20th anniversary of the Watershed Ag Council many innovative best management farm practices that have helped to protect the pristine water of the NYC/Catskill watershed communities.
Festival fare will range from cauliflower soup to pulled pork. Hot apple cider and donuts and chicken BBQ will fill you up and keep you warm inside.
Highlighting the entertainment offerings this year will be the popular Catskill Mountain Boys with afternoon square dancing in the pavilion and Jason Starr with his songs of Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie for your enjoyment.
At 2pm Hay Bale Demonstrations will take place on the Davis Farm adjacent to the festival grounds.
The Historical Society of the Town of Middletown's History Tent will feature exhibits and will also showcase photos of farm life in the greater Middletown area.
Enjoy the beauty of the Fall Foliage in the Central Catskills and enjoy a day out in the great outdoors.

Hay Baling Demonstration at the Davis Farm, adjacent to the festival grounds
Afternoon hay rides with Jake Fairbairn - great fun for the entire family. Travel along open hay fields on the Davis Farm. See views of the East Branch Stream and Catskill Mountains along the way.
The Cauliflower Festival is FREE. Some activities for children have a minimal charge to defray costs.
